Achieving minimal downtime in PostgreSQL maintenance tasks

In the daily life of a DBA, two of the most challenging tasks are performing major PostgreSQL version upgrades and enabling page checksums on large clusters. This user-feedback session will share how PostgreSQL streaming replication, combined with pgBouncer and pgBackRest, has helped us to reliably perform these tasks with minimal downtime for our customers and their applications.
We'll begin by discussing the importance of these maintenance tasks and the various strategies to accomplish them. Then, we'll dive into the specific process we used, highlighting the significance and benefits of such infrastructure setup.
